Industry Green Certification

Climate change is defined as the environmental problem of the 21st Century. The growing pressure for environmentally-considerate production processes will be increasingly evident, not excluding the field of production of digital media and its packaging.

We are pleased to announce that we have started to obtain Industry Green certification for our products. Julie’s Bicycle is a non-profit organisation striving for reductions in emissions of greenhouse gases in the music industry and working towards a “creative future with lower carbon emissions” in this field. Our CD packaging is being assessed by the Julie’s Bicycle organisation. To date, we have obtained the ig certification for our GZ pack and we have and will continue to request certification for more products.

On the basis of JB’s assessment of the GZ-Pack a level of 366-396g carbon per unit was identified. During production of a standard Jewel Case with a 4-page booklet the average emission level is around 1177g. In this respect the GZ-Pack represents a 68% reduction in Carbon Dioxide equivalent emissions (CO2e).

We are not indifferent to the climate we live in. We are glad that we can offer our customers products bearing the Industry Green “ig” mark seal of approval.
